In a bowl, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
Add the tempeh strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated tempeh and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side or until crispy and browned.
