Mix flour, plant-based milk, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let the batter rise for an hour.
Stir in diced apple or raisins if using.
Heat oil to 180°C.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
