Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, mix together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add almond milk, applesauce, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
